So someone's kid makes a brilliant video, refuses to upload it to youtube and asks you if they can put it in a publisher file. You look at them horrified for a moment.

Don't Panic, It can be done, easy too.

We all know publisher's common uses and how great it is for it's ability to produce great publications. Sure, you think, it's easy to import a photo but a video, now that sounds like hassle. What is less known about Microsoft Publisher is that it can be used to display video too video.
Infact, addind video to a publisher document is a very straight forward process. You can later edit how the video appears in your document.

• Microsoft Publisher
• Your video

Add Video to Microsoft Publisher

Step 1. Go to the Insert menu and select Object.

Step 2. In the Insert Object dialogue box, scroll down to Video Clip.

Step 3. In the dialogue box, go to Insert Clip and select "Video for Windows." Browse and locate the video you wish to insert into Publisher. Click "Open." This process may take a few minutes depending on the size of the video. The video file format must be AVI.

Step 4.The video file will appear as an object. To edit the object you must return to the Publisher interface. To do this, hit the Esc key on your keyboard. Use your mouse to resize the box as you wish.

Step 5. Don't forget to save your document.
