[GUIDE] How to Use HTML Fragments in Microsoft Publisher

So now you've stumbled into the world of HTML within your Publisher work.

before we start

You may or may not be aware that Microsoft Publisher has many hidden functions. Far from just allowing simple editing of text and images it does actually allow you to insert and work with html. You can create an entire website with Publisher if you like but I am not sure many modern web developers would recommend it.

Just for fun I am inserting a quote from a guide that I found while researching about html in publisher.
Microsoft Publisher allows the website owner to build the website. There are numerous extras available on the web that can be incorporated into the website. Integrate these extras into the website using HTML code. HTML fragments are used to embed videos, affiliate links and other promotional and fun items. These fragments can be inserted into a Microsoft Publisher website.
That didn't make much more sense to me either.

You are more likely looking to just paste some html fragment into your document, so lets resume the guide with that assumption.

lets begin

Tip: Always make sure you create a new copy of any file before starting a task you are unsure about or inserting unfamiliar html into your publisher document.

Step 1. Open Microsoft Publisher.

Step 2. Go to the webpage that contains the HTML fragment.

Step 3. Highlight and copy the HTML fragment to be used.

Step 4. Go to "Insert," "HTML code fragment." Paste the HTML fragment into the dialog box and press "OK."

Step 5. Expand the box to accomodate the HTML fragment. Position the box where the results of the HTML fragment should appear on the page.

Step 6. Don't forget to save your work
